Refund Policy

1. All sales are final

CourtNetra does not offer refunds on cancellation. All paid subscriptions — monthly or annual, single-product or bundled — are final once charged. This applies to mid-cycle cancellations, unused months on annual commitments, plan-change requests within the cycle, and “didn’t use it enough” requests.

We mitigate buyer’s-remorse risk by giving every prospective customer three free ways to validate the product before paying:

  • Free Starter — forever, no card, no expiry. Includes ≈200 NyayaLens credits/month so you can try AI research end-to-end.
  • 3-day free trial on Platform Pro (CMS) and NyayaLens Pro (AI research). Opt-in only. No card required. One per organisation lifetime.
  • Full pricing transparency on the /pricing page — every plan’s cap, included credits, and feature list is visible before signup.

Pro Max plans and Bundle plans (Lawyer Pro, Chambers) are subscribe-direct and do not offer a trial. Use the Free Starter or the Pro tier’s 3-day trial to validate the product first, then upgrade.

2. Cancellation

You can cancel any paid subscription at any time from Settings → Billing in 30 seconds — no retention call. The cancel button stops further auto-debits immediately.

  • Monthly billing — you keep access until the end of the current cycle, then drop to Free Starter.
  • Annual billing — annual plans are 12-month commitments billed monthly at the discounted rate (UPI-friendly under the ₹15K NPCI mandate cap). Cancellation stops upcoming monthly debits but does not refund debits already taken or unused months on the annual term.
  • Trial — at the 3-day mark, your account is locked until you either pay (creates the subscription) or explicitly downgrade to Free Starter from the choice screen. We do not auto-bill and we do not auto-downgrade.

3. What we do honor

The following are not “refunds” in the cancellation sense — they are corrections of an error or service shortfall, and we always make them right:

  • Billing errors — duplicate charges, charges after a cancellation was confirmed, debits against a wrong plan ID, debits while your account was locked. Reversed within 7 working days of report.
  • Unauthorised charges — handled per the Razorpay / RBI fraud-recovery process. Forward us the dispute reference and we will cooperate fully.
  • Service-failure credits — if CourtNetra has a multi-hour unplanned outage during your billing month, you receive a prorated service-credit applied to the next invoice (not a cash refund).

Email billing@courtnetra.com from the account holder’s registered email with your organization name, the Razorpay payment ID (starts with pay_) from your receipt, and a short description of the issue. We acknowledge within one working day.

4. Chargebacks

We strongly prefer direct correction of billing errors over chargebacks — please email us first; in most cases we can resolve the issue same-day. Chargebacks that bypass our billing-correction process may result in account suspension pending resolution with the card network or UPI partner.

5. Jurisdiction

This policy is governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising under it is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi.
